It’s inevitable, things wear out, it’s all part of life, and after nearly 4 years of constant heavy use, I reckon I’ve had a good innings from my Lifeproof iPhone 4s case.
I’ll admit, initially I wasn’t convinced of the Lifeproof’s ruggedness due to it being only 1.3mm thicker that the phone itself, especially compared to the Otterbox Defender that it was replacing. I needn’t have worried, it lived up to its reputation, and then some.
I’ve dropped it on concrete, it’s fallen downstairs, I’ve had conversations in the pouring rain and heavy snow, and lets not forget the numerous times it’s been submerged in muddy puddles. It’s also been half driven over!
And if that wasn’t enough, its subtle design means it doesn’t stand out like a sore thumb as others do with a profile that allows it to be slipped into you pocket (or handbag, I’m told), with ease.
In short, it’s slim, it’s smart, it’s tough, and it’s 100% waterproof. When I put my order in for a new iPhone 6, there’ll be one on its way to Lifeproof as well.
