DS7 Flash Drive

Recently Crossaxle visited the press fleet HQ for the PSA Group and took a few of their cars out for a flash drive. Thank you to Craig for entertaining us and we’ll definitely be back.
The first car we reviewed was the DS7 Crossback. DS was formerly a branch of Citroen but now is a brand very much in it’s own right with a differently targeted demographic to Citroen. The quality of finish in the DS7 is superb and really worth considering if you are in the market for a large SUV. Anyway, check out our video review here:

The DS7 Crossback range starts at modest £27,000, how ever the model we had here for review was the Ultra Prestige BlueHDi 180 8 Speed auto, with an OTR price of £46,620 at time of testing.

We were pleasantly surprised by the feel and quality of the materials used. The main cockpit and switch gear was very well layed out, very tactile, with diamond pattern running throughout as the main theme. With the buttons and dials having the now Bentley norm, knurling pattern making it feel even more of a premium product.

The seats were not only incredible to look at, very comfortable, but also finished in what looked like premium leather, all of which makes the task of driving a pleasurable experience.

There were nice and quirky touches used all over the DS7, from the rotating headlights that look like jewels spinning in the case of an expensive shop. The rear tail lights are another item you find yourself looking at all following the diamond pattern theme. Even the pulse of the indicators had a quality feel.

Over all a very nice place to sit and soak up the miles, whether you are on a tour in the south of France or on the school run in the rain of the UK. It is hard to fully understand a car based on a short time media drive, it would be great to have the DS for a longer period to fully appreciate what it can do, but of of this video going live Crossaxle give it a 7 out of 10.
